July 15th

Church was really good today.

It was really cool because during worship
I felt God was saying I need to get back to the basics.
Back to what I call 101.
Love.
Mercy.
Faith.
Forgiveness.
Truth.

And then Mike got up and pretty much talked about some basics.
The notes are available here.

During worship I was shocked to realize
I haven’t read very much of the new testament
since I have had this bible.

So starting tomorrow-
I dive into a new and structered study of the word.

Side note:
Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Light.
Which means when I am asking for God to
teach me His ways
or show me His truth.
I am actually asking for Him to reveal His Son.
And to agree with His truth, and walk in His light,
is actually to agree with Jesus, and stand with Him.

That is sort of a big deal -

because on the flip side
if we do not agree with the truth,
we are denying Jesus.
Which is not ok.

dreads.jpg

So- I dreaded my hair.
I have always wanted to,
and now I have.
But I’m not sure how I feel about it.

At this point it is still pretty easy to take them out.
But I’m not sure…
maybe I should just let them mature alittle.

Of course- I can always dread again.
Later on, when I am more ready for the commitment.

I will probably start taking them out.
I really like the front and sides,
it’s the back I don’t care for.

Jeremiah doesn’t care for it,
but he tells me I need to decide for myself.
He tells me it is something I have to do by myself.

Exciting side note-
Jeremiah officially said yes to Jesus as Lord of his life today.
He is excited about choosing Jesus over the devil.

July 4th.

Not only can he spell J E R E M I A H,
but he can write it too!!!

 We are both doing amazing.
I am loving the media apprenticeship and all the prayer room time.
And he is loving preschool and all of the playing outside time.

I encourage Jeremiah to worship God more
and make him put the toliet seat down,
he tells me to clean my room
and talks me into becoming a superhero.
All in all it is a good balance.

The forth of July, it used to be my favorite holiday,
this year I am almost irritated with the excitment of it.
I dont want to be bothered.
I like my routine.
I like my day to day.

Goal of the month:
Teach him to behave and also get involved in the prayer room.
Alittle late I know, I have been lazy about it.
I have been postponing the arguement.
But this is important. The most important.
Therefore- well worth the arguement
I am hoping is not to big of a deal.

June 2007

Jeremiah turned 4 in May. He loves sports and super heros.
He has just discovered the joy of lightening bugs and walking backward.

 Jeremiah is four.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be 4 again?
