–Yellow vests and what they mean to me–

I don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner-

Jeremiah and I were at the 4-6 pm set at IHOP today.
He did really good for – well- a little while.
We took a few trips out of the room to talk/adjust behavior.
He prayed on the mic!
He loved it and wants to do it everyday.

But then he wanted to leave.
We talked about how I was in charge,
and how we weren’t leaving,
and how he needed to stop crying,
and how he needed to behave,
and how we should be praying and talking to God.

When finally I saw an usher in a bright yellow vest.
Ding. I know my son, this will matter to him.
Then we talked about how they are in charge of the prayer room,
and how you can get in trouble for not behaving in the prayer room,
and how if you take your shoes off in the prayer room they will make you put them back on,
and how if you are disturbing other people they will ask you to stop,
and how if he wanted we could talk to one of them about his behavior.

And then we didn’t have to talk about behavior anymore.
So thank you Mike Baker- and thank you IHOP ushers.
One more reason we appreciate the yellow vests.
